What we build

LookingPro creates a photorealistic digital proxy driven by your own facial movement. Your expressions, your timing and your head motion carry through to the image in real time, and the result is delivered into the video call you are already in. Because the proxy is driven by your face rather than generated from your speech, the pauses, the glances and the changes of expression that carry meaning in a conversation are preserved.

LooperPro captures you at the moment you switch it on and plays that back as a natural loop. It covers the short interruptions that happen during a call, the doorbell, a child in the room, a glass of water, after which you switch back to your live camera.

Both products are desktop applications for Windows and macOS, and both are in technical preview. Access is by enquiry rather than public download, so that we can work directly with the people running preview builds. There are no plans or tiers at this stage.

Why we are building it

Interfaces are moving from screens to faces. Voice already sounds human. The face is next, and it is still awkward. Filters and virtual backgrounds do not give you real control over how you appear, and as faces become easier to generate, being able to show that a face genuinely belongs to the person using it stops being a nice extra.

We started with the immediate version of that problem. Video meetings became the way professionals meet clients, colleagues and candidates, and the camera came with a cost that nobody planned for. Looking presentable takes time before every working day, and again before any meeting that was not on the calendar. A full day of calls leaves no natural moment to step away. The meeting that matters often lands while you are travelling, at home, or simply not in a position to be on camera.

The usual workaround is to switch the camera off. That reads as disengagement and takes every non-verbal signal out of the conversation. LookingPro and LooperPro are two answers to that at different levels of effort: one for when you want to be seen properly, one for when you need a moment away.

The same engine points at a larger question. As more of working life happens through a screen, people will need presence they can control and that others can reasonably trust. That is the company we are building.
